About

Our mission is to enable a medium that our audience can relax to and can enjoy together; we provide this by showcasing the latest student films, classic blockbusters and all-time favourite independent films within the university campus for students and staff. Showing regular films on Mondays and Thursdays at 7pm, we are located in Student Central (0.51).

History

The Bradford Student Cinema is one of the oldest societies within the student union and can trace its heritage back to early days of the university. Formerly the Film Society, the BSC originally screened 16 mm film from lecture theatres on N floor of the Richmond Building (Refurbished in 2000 removing the projection boxes in favour of additional seating). It later moved into the University’s Great Hall, where it gained a portable 35 mm projection system allowing it to show a full range of films available to commercial cinemas. In 2010, the Bradford Student Cinema moved to Student Central (previously known as the Communal Building) integrating into the Union and working closely alongside RamAir, the Bradford Student and YouBeTV.
